Update relating to Stage 4 restrictions Melbourne

These are unprecedented times and as Melbourne enters Stage 4 restrictions, we at Haulotte have been preparing for the best ways to still meet our delivery requirements. Our head office based in Melbourne will operate at a reduced capacity with all administration and finance to be performed from home. We will have our Spare Parts and Workshop teams working on-site; at a reduced capacity; following our Covid safe plan to ensure the rest of the country can continue to function through these challenging times.

For Victorian based customers awaiting delivery of machines or a service, we will be implementing new policies to conform with the stage 4 restrictions introduced on Thursday 6th August that are no doubt also impacting your business operations. We don’t foresee any impact of deliveries for any other state in Australia as machines are traditionally delivered straight to the relative branches. For service requirements we will only be able to support emergency repairs subject to personnel site restrictions outlined in the premiers statement. These include commercial building construction to have a maximum of 25 per cent of staff on site and small-scale residential construction, no more than five people are allowed on-site at any one time.

For the rest of Australia and New Zealand, please understand that our plan is to have limited impact by this forced shutdown. Our service facilities in NSW, QLD and WA will continue to service their respective areas, while still adhering to the guidelines of their respective governments and health organisations. New machines that have arrived in each state will continue pre-delivery inspections and be delivered as advised by our team. If you have not been advised of an adjusted delivery estimate, please contact us on 1300 207 683 for an update. If your machine was to be inspected out of Victoria then I ask that you please remain patient as we work out the logistics of this six week shutdown.

For spare parts our interpreters will be working remotely, but our warehouse team will be onsite to pick and pack your orders. Technical support will continue to be available 24/7 as our trained technicians are based across three states to ensure we can deliver a high level of service to you.

We, like everyone else are committed to stopping the spread of this virus and will do our part as directed by the relevant government bodies. On a personal note, this has been a challenging year for everyone, but I am astounded at the level of support displayed by the Hire industry. I have had a number of calls and messages from many of you to check in on us and we really appreciate your thoughts and understanding during this pandemic. It has meant we were able to concentrate on the safety and health of our employees and to implement new procedures to ensure everyone is safe and doing their part to stop the spread.

We will endeavour to provide more updates as we know more, but for now, your patience is greatly appreciated.

Stay safe everyone!
