Alfasi Hire is the first Australian customer to take delivery of the new Haulotte boom HA16RTJ Pro and Porter Access is the first New Zealand company.

“The HA16 has always been a strong product for Haulotte and is one of the biggest selling lines for Haulotte globally so we are excited to see these first machines arrive into the Australian and New Zealand markets. It is even more exciting to see them go to such strong Haulotte customers,” Haulotte Australia/New Zealand General Manager, Keith Clarke said.
Haulotte worked very closely with its customers to design this new machine, Keith said.

“The improvements in this new generation machine will help our customers become more successful. This machine is incredibly smooth and fast to operate. We left in all the extras our customers said were important, including 360 continuous slew and 4-wheel steer. We have also added an oscillating axel and on board diagnostics,” Keith said.

“The HA16RTJ PRO has been designed to meet customers’ requirements with a machine that is simple, robust, reliable and easy to maintain with optimal performance and a high level of safety.”

Alfasi Hire

Alfasi has been a customer of Haulotte for four years and among its fleet of over 1000 machines including cranes and EWPs, has a fleet of Haulotte machines from 19ft scissors to 100ft booms with Haulotte now also its preferred supplier of telehandlers.
Gary Murphy, General Manager at Alfasi Hire said: “After seeing the HA16RTJ pro in at the preview launch last year, we ordered these machines to ensure Alfasi Hire always has cutting edge equipment to offer customers.
“We believe the new range of boom lifts, starting with the HT23RTJ and now the HA16RTJ Pro, are the next generation of boom lifts in terms of technology, performance, serviceability and features. The productivity gains to the customer through faster operation, proportional controls, greater gradebility as well as ground clearance make these must have machines for our fleet. In addition the diagnostic tool and features are a class leading.
“Because safety is our number one priority, we have made it standard to have Haulotte’s Activ Shield (crush management system) fitted to all of our booms. This is only part of the commitment we make to our customers to ensure we offer the safest possible machines,” Gary said.

Porter Hire

A Haulotte customer since 2006, Porter Hire has a range of Haulotte machines from 19ft scissors to 80ft booms with over 70% of its 350 strong fleet made up of Haulotte equipment.
Founded by the late Arthur Porter in 1945, purchased with money he received from serving in the Second World War, Porter Hire is a family owned and run business. The original bulldozer Arthur originally purchased to start the company is still sitting in the Porter Group yard in Hamilton.
The Porter Group has nine branches in California, sales and service offices in Queensland, and its head office and branches throughout New Zealand.
According to Porter Hire Managing Director, Andrew Porter, the company is seeing a quickly expanding diversification of Porter Hire, but is committed to supplying customers with the best construction access equipment available on the market today.
“A strong alliance with key supplier Haulotte Group ensures Porter Access has access equipment fit for the world market,” Andrew said.
Haulotte’s HA16RTJ PRO with 4 wheel-drive, 4-wheel steer, 360° continuous turret rotation, oscillating axle is simple, robust, reliable and easy to maintain with optimal performance and a high level of safety.
The 4-wheel steer on HA16 RTJ PRO model allows three steering configurations: 4-wheel steer, 2-wheel steer and crab steer. The selection can be easily made using the selector on the upper control box.
With simultaneous movement capability, the hydraulic system and an oscillating axle gives comfort and safety thanks to very smooth movements and the ability to reach the working area with maximum precision.
The HA16 RTJ range has excellent rough terrain capability with ground clearance of 38cm, 40% gradeability and 4-wheel drive on all models.
The HA16RTJ PRO is also designed with a permanent anti-slipping differential that evenly distributes power to the wheels. Additionally, the hydraulic differential lock can be activated manually for maximum efficiency on more difficult rough terrain.
The machine also features cured-on solid tyres that are longer lasting than foam filled tyres and environmentally friendlier.
The new Kubota engine has a variable motor speed halving the noise level and reducing the fuel consumption by 15%.
Reinforced hood: the turret hood benefits from a brand new design reinforced by a metal sub-frame for the best resistance in all conditions. The innovative modular design of the hoods allow only the damaged part to be replaced, resulting in savings in spare parts cost.
The fully modular platform solution makes it possible to replace only the damaged component instead of changing the whole basket is easy and cost effective to repair.
The HA16 RTJ range complies with working regulations (AS1418-10) and it is a multipurpose machine, suitable for building works (steel erection, cladding, curtain wall, painting, etc), finishing works (plumbing, electrics, air conditioning, heating, insulation) and maintenance work, demolition and pruning, etc.

Safety at the highest level

Haulotte recently launched a secondary guarding device: Haulotte ACTIV’Shield Bar which reduces crushing risk while maintaining productivity.
The HA16 RTJ range is very safe to drive as the machines can be driven at maximum speed with the jib raised, giving excellent visibility of the working area.
